B&Q Decorating Project with Volunteers

In October 2023, Six B&Q volunteers worked with our Property Manager over the course of two days to re-decorate the entrance lobby of Oakfield Easton Maudit. B&Q provided all materials, paint, dado rails, wallpaper, furniture and furnishings. A big thank you to B&Q for your volunteer time and generosity. It is very appreciated and has made a huge difference to our lobby, making it more inviting.

Work Experience

We have recently offered work experience in partnership with the Princes Trust. Robert has been working at our Easton Maudit site helping with various outdoor activities including gardening, landscaping and general help. This partnership is beneficial to our work experience attendee in gaining experience and confidence. Oakfield are also very appreciative for the hard work and time put into our Easton Maudit grounds.

A big thank you to 'Sign Logic' Northampton for providing our Yardley Hastings site with a brand new sign. Sign Logic were easy to contact and provided a quick and professional service.

The Prince's Trust Northampton South Team 56’s

Through the Prince's Trust Oakfield Community were delighted to be chosen by Tresham College to be part of their 12 week course helping them to gain confidence, work as a team and achieving great things while helping others.  10 students and 2 teachers from the Prince’s Trust Northampton South Team came to our Easton Maudit provision and have transformed some of the open space for the People we Support to benefit from.

The group were personable, helpful and willing to undertake some hard work.  The group have:

Dismantled a disused chicken run

Painted the outside of a shed to improve its look and preserve its future use

Painted the internal space and external walls of the summer house creating a wonderful area for the people we support to use.

Cleared rubble, weeds

Created new planters for flowers and plants

Cleared and rotavated a lot of the outside area

Thank you to all of you for your hard work, time and enthusiasm.  You have made a big difference and we would welcome you back anytime.
